Picked this up because I needed a sofa and a sofabed but did not want a conventionally designed sofabed because I have never found one that was comfortable. I checked out versions similar to this at some local stores but there were not very well constructed and did not look like they would hold up over time. Therefore I thought I would take the plunge with this.

Unpacking and assembly was easy (just add the legs). The color was similar to what is depicted in the photo and the microfiber fabric was in good shape and felt nice to the touch. The mechanism to raise and lower the the various sections works well though when using it in "chaise" mode, to get it to go back into the "normal" sofa position takes a pretty big push which at first I was uncomfortable to do because I thought I might break the mechanism by pushing so far. It has a bar the runs up the center when it is reclined as a bed. I have had a few people sleep on it and everyone has mentioned the bar despite buying a 3" memory foam mattress topper. As a couch, its fine but it really failed to hit the mark as a bed.

Bought this item from amazon after reading a 5 star review. But it turned out to be a bad buy. The sofa bed broke within 4 months. It can now not be returned. Its a pretty looking sofa bed but has very poor quality. I ended up losing a lot of money.
