"The Solaris from Otis Futon Mattresses is a â??greenâ?� futon mattress made of all reclaimed foam. The Solaris is comprised of 13.5â?� of material that is pressurized down to 8â?�. First, there are 3 layers of 2â?� rebond convoluted foam, and then there are 5 layers of a 1.5â?� thermal bonded polyester wrap. This futon mattress has a tape edge construction on one side so the cover fits better. For a full sized Solaris, there are 28 lace tufts. All Otis futon mattresses are made without cotton, giving them a unique and different feel. This way, the mattresses can be vacuum sealed and boxed for easy shipping and storage. Each mattress is overstuffed with fibers and foams that work together to create a comfortable surface for both sitting and sleeping. Compression lace tufting strengthens the mattress, allowing all the materials to work together for greater durability and consistent feel over the life of the mattress.
