This review is from: Genesis Queen Size Foam/Cotton/Polyester Futon Mattress This is the cheapest queen futon mattress I could find anywhere. It is not very firm (which is fine); it's fluffy and soft, doesn't feel like it's quite filled with stuffing. I'd almost describe it as pillow-like. It doesn't feel like it will last a real long time; but, the last futon mattress I owned was really expensive and it didn't last real long either. Overall I'm very happy with this. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Genesis Twin Size Foam/Cotton/Polyester Futon Mattress I sleep best partially sitting up, so I use this mattress in a lounge chair position. It's thick, comfy, and yet perfectly flexible. This has been some of the best sleepin' I've had in years! 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Genesis Full Size Foam/Cotton/Polyester Futon Mattress Edit: The smell has mostly dissipated after 1.5 weeks, but if you sleep on the futon, you can smell the odd odor. This futon mattress seems acceptably comfortable and arrived 10 days after submitting my order, but it gives off an offensive stale odor that I *hope* will dissipate with time. When I unzippered the mattress, I found small bits of wood (cedar?) mixed in with multi-colored scraps of cotton(?). Since the mattress is somewhat heavy and bulky, I don't want to return it, because shipping will probably cost half of what I have already paid. I have previously purchased a futon mattress from a brick-and-mortar futon store that had no odor or outgassing, so I don't think this odd smell is normal. I would be ashamed to have guests sit on this futon, much less sleep on it. |
