Full Size Savannah Futon Sofa Bed - Frame Only

Lots of assembly, but not difficult. All the parts were there and the instructions were adequate. Actually, really decent quality for the price: solid wood as advertised, though poplar I wouldn't technically classify as a hardwood; it's more like pine with a greenish hue. Pretty, though. Claims that uit comes pre-sanded, but it needs a finish sanding before staining/painting. Works great, no complaints.

I am very pleased and impressed with this piece of furniture. The poplar is nice looking and almost without blemish. Some of the boards may have a greenish hue- the manufacturer claims it will fade to light brown over time, or with 20-30 minutes in direct sunlight. The sunlight trick didn't really work for me. Doesn't matter though- 90% of the frame is hidden under the mattress and will never be seen. The arms and long pieces that are visible were all beautiful, so that's all that matters.
Assembly is SIMPLE. You open the two boxes and think, "Wow, that's a lot of parts..." but it could NOT be easier to put together. It took me less than 45 minutes. Instructions are excellent, everything is rock solid, and the operation is simple.

I bought this months ago, and just got around to putting it together yesterday. It was very easy to put together. (It took me about an hour by myself with only the hex wrench they supply.) I choose not to stain it, and it looks very nice. It is much better quality than those metal frame ones from a popular big box retailer.
