We got one of these from Big Lots, it wasn't bad for the price but we didn't get it thinking it'd be long term. With in 6 months the bars on the front to keep the mattress in place started to bend. You can bend them back, but their weakened and will only snap off in a matter of time. Once they break off they leave behind a sharp piece that can damage your mattress, so just leave it bent down or cover the area with some tape to avoid ripping. Sadly once those are gone your mattress wont stay in place very well, I'd suggest getting one of those grip pads to help it stay put.
It's not great, but it'll work for a first apartment or dorm. Ours was like $70 for the frame, so when it fully dies in 3 or 4 years it's no huge waste.
