ABOUT POPLAR HARDWOOD - The Savannah sofabed frame is made of smooth, clean, unfinished poplar hardwood, not pine. Many of the pine frames on the market have a rough splintery feel. Pine averages 18% moisture content, our hardwood is kiln dried to 8%, which means it's far less likely to split or warp. SHIPPING - The frame and mattress are shipped via UPS ground, usually within 24-48 hours. We ship both items on the same day, unlike other sellers on Amazon who ship the frame from one location and the mattress from another -sometimes weeks later.
