American Furniture Alliance Montego Metal/Wood Frame

We bought the full size version in Honey Oak and are very pleased. The sides are lovely finished wood while the bed frame is metal tubes. It is sturdy enough for sleeping people up to around 250 lbs and 6'2" if they lie at an angle. I'd recommend an all-wood frame and a thick mattress if you need more support. Works great for my smaller relatives, even two people.

Added a six-inch coil futon mattress by Dorel which came packed like a jelly roll and expanded to full height in a few hours. I think I might go for an eight-inch if we buy another or replace, but the six-inch one is comfortable enough for the occasional guest.

I recommend going to the manufacturer web site to look at the pdf instructions for all their frames, since you can zoom in on the illustrations and get a better idea of how to put this together. Very well made. My only complaint is the futon mattress with inner springs I purchased to go with this makes it a 2 person job to put from bed to couch. It's not a product malfunction per say, as I think it would be easy to do if the mattress were a thinner futon and lighter weight. But I went for the thick mattress for comfort. Other than that, the mattress fits perfectly. It's comfortable. It's durable. It's very nice looking and supports the mattress without sagging perfectly. I would highly recommend this as so many futon frames are double the price.

I purchased this item for my stepdaughter who is with us every other weekend, it is no way a twin mattress or junior size twin mattress as explained in the description, however I consider it more or less like a toddler bed. The chair itself is comfortable, but VERY expensive just for a chair. Not at all satisfied. Actually wasted lots of money
