Airlay Futon Mattress - 8 inch thick

the mattress is a good value for the money i got one for each of my kids. they both love the comfort of the mattress ... i have personally tested out the comfort of it and was very surprised at its delivery of comfort. cant complain much at all. the only thing that was a little annoying but i guessi can understand is taking it out of the box. a bit tight of a squeeze and the plastic wrap is a pain because you dont want to cut it off for fear of ruining the mattress you have to peal it like a banana.

This mattress looks GREAT on my futon! It is so comfy and my futon looks like a real couch now. Just be careful when you lift it because it is very heavy. You probably need two people to lift it, even though I did it myself.

I bought this as a mattress more than a futon and I think that was a mistake. It's serviceable, but a little lumpy and not that comfortable. In fairness to the product, I didn't buy it for a futon couch, and for that purpose, it might be better than average. It's thicker than an average futon, and more comfortable than my 3-4 inch futon that I've had for a number of years.

I think the 8 inches is a slight exaggeration - looks more like 6.5 - 7 to me, but that's probably standard for mattress measurements. Overall, for a folding futon couch, this might be a good purchase. As a bed, I'd pay more and get a real mattress unless you're able to sleep on anything.
