This review is not a review of the Gold Bond 8 inch all cotton futon but a warning against purchasing the futon from CSN. The futon that I received in the mail was obviously defective. The warranty tag had been cut off. The futon itself smelled of a chemical that was foul and did not dissipate even after a week. In addition, the cotton in the futon did not seem to have been compressed at all. After one evening of sleep the futon had already lost its shape in that part of the mattress where my weight had laid. Since I had slept on the mattress and made the mistake of trying to kill the smell using febreze, I did not try to return it. My cynicism told me that it would be impossible.
The good news is that I purchased a Gold Bond wool wrap from a local store, which I should have done in the first place. It is a fine futon mattress. The bad news is that I wasted $170 thinking that I had found a deal for a good all cotton futon mattress on Amazon. Warning - never purchase...Read more
